Through verbal exchanges with personnel of your agency, we understand it is desired to change site to Wellpinit Mountain. If you desire change from original proposal, please advise also as to type and height of structure desired." (Message to Elmo Miller, Superintendent, Colville Agency from H.L. Moore, Area Director)
December 3, 1962: "In answer to your TT inquiry of Nov. 28, 1962. Our first choice of lookout site at Wellpinit Mountain would be on Wellpinit Mountain with a 40-foot cabin tower. Also, electric service is available at this site and we can get better lookout coverage of the Reservation." (Message to Area Director from Elmo Miller, Supt.)
