April 30, 1969: "Three forest lookouts will be manned to supplement the aerial detection and to help provide greater radio coverage and furnish fire weather observations. One station is Salmon River Ridge." (Port Angeles Evening News)
2000: The lookout was moved to the Buckley Museum.
