Activated: August 17, 1942; Deactivated: October 16, 1943. Bellingham Filter Center.
October 16, 1943: Aircraft Warning Service Station Tare 1-0 was deactivated. The AWS added a 14 x 32 portable cabin to the improvements. After deactivation the site was retained by the State of Washington and continued to be used as a fire lookout station. (Report of AWS Stations, May 1, 1944)
1947: "A 75' steel tower with an 8x8 cab was erected on Deming Mountain replacing a small tower built of native materials. Living quarters for the lookout were obtained by moving in an abandoned Aircraft Warning Service building." (Annual Report of the Division of Forestry)
1964-66: A replacement tower was erected. (5th Biennial Report of the Washington Department of Natural Resources)
1985: Lookout was removed. The cab was moved to the museum at Forks, Washington.
