1935: A 35-foot round native timber tower with an L-4 cab was erected.
Activated: July 29, 1942; Deactivated: July 1, 1943. Bellingham Filter Center.
July 1, 1943: Aircraft Warning Service Station "Yoke 5-3" was inactivated. The station utilized existing facilities owned by the Mt. Baker National Forest, a 10 x 12 sleeping quarters was added using AWS resources. Upon the deactivation the site was retained by the Forest Service and continued use as a fire detection point. 1959: The lookout was discontinued and abandoned.
