September 2, 1933: “The emergency lookout station on Setting Sun mountain is nearing completion. Tracy Heath is doing the work, and when finished there will go to Mebee Pass to construct a similar station.” (The Wenatchee Daily World)
1954: The lookout abandoned.
September 14, 2013: Volunteers spent the day working on the restoration of the lookout. Included in the accomplishments were shoring up the foundation, leveling the floor and installing a new shingle roof. More to be done later.
