September 22, 1931: “The Forest Service has just completed the building of a look-out house at Junior Peak, which is located about midway between Twenty-Five Mile creek and Pyramid Peak.” (The Wenatchee Daily World)
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1950 (WRH) THE STATION IS LOCATED ON THE HIGHEST POINT OF WHAT IS LOCALLY KNOWN AS JUNIOR PT. IT IS ABOUT 3 MILES AIRLINE SOUTHWEST OF LAKE CHELAN, ABOUT 8 MILES AIRLINE NORTHEAST OF THE ENTIAT RIVER, AND ABOUT 22 MILES NORTH-NORTHWEST OF WINESAP.
THE STATION IS A STANDARD, 14-FOOT SQUARE LOOKOUT HOUSE WHICH IS PAINTED WHITE.
THE PEAK OF THE ROOF IS THE POINT OF INTERSECTION.
