August 12, 1933: “Roma Johnson blazed a trail the first of the week for an emergency lookout which will soon be established on Setting Sun mountain. Setting Sun, seven miles northwest of Goat Peak, looks into several small valleys which cannot be seen from the other peaks.” (The Wenatchee Daily World)
September 2, 1933: “Tracey Heath is completing a fine new forest service lookout station on Setting Sun peak this week. Setting Sun is north of Goat peak.” (The Wenatchee Daily World)
