June 24, 1935: "Morris Ladoen has completed construction of a new lookout tower on Moon mountain." (The Semi-Weekly Spokesman-Review)
August 29, 1935: "A new 60-foot tower completed. It was erected this summer by Morris Ladoen, foreman, and three enrollees. It required 56 man days for erection and has been occupied since August 15 by Pete Hall, Moon mountain lookout." Replaced an earlier crows nest built in the top of two trees.
